Thriving Through Talent: How parent-friendly policies drive balance, growth, and global competitiveness

In just three cycles, the Parent-friendly Label™ (PFL) has grown into one of the UAE’s most compelling social-innovation models. Since 2021, the program has been driving a qualitative shift in workplace culture aligned with the UAE’s vision to strengthen family stability and help communities thrive. Its unique framework bridges the UAE’s long-term national vision with real labor-market dynamics, embedding a workplace culture that translates institutional commitments into tangible practices; not slogans.

In Cycle 3, the Parent-friendly Label™ has recorded unprecedented participation levels, reflecting growing awareness of the importance of supporting working parents at the workplace as a cornerstone of economic and social development.

The Cycle 3 Impact Report ‘Thriving Through Talent: How parent-friendly policies drive balance, growth, and global competitiveness’ highlights the role of flexible, parent-friendly workplaces in improving employee experience overall, and particularly that of working parents.

The report presents key insights and trends drawn from Cycle 3 applications and the employee survey of more than 11,000 employees across 83 organizations from diverse sectors in all Emirates. The findings were analyzed in light of the latest global studies and trends on parent-friendly workplaces.

The report’s findings and data serve as a valuable reference for organizations seeking to enhance their workplace environments and strengthen their ability to attract and retain talents. It also provides clear, evidence-based proof of the value of shifting to parent-friendly policies to drive tangible benefits for organizations, working parents, children, the economy, and society at large.
